The attack of the...

When the bell rang for morning tea Miss Taylor said you will need something to cover your eyes. These words were on my mind all morning tea!!! As soon Miss Taylor came back into the class it was  by this time the suspense was about to kill me.

I could hear was people talking and a rustling bag I knew that was Miss Taylor and I knew that we had started and by the sound of the bag I knew it was a fruit straight away.

It was hard to smell but then it came to me. At first I thought it was a orange but when I smelt it a second time it finally clicked to me it I could smell it but I couldn't  think of the fruit.

the first thing I did was feel the edges to make sure I knew what is was then I felt the middle and it was as squishy as a bug when it gets squashed I could feel the pips as well then i was absolutely sure I knew what is was
I took one big bite and it tasted as bitter as an old sour bag of lollies and as sour as a warhead. It tasted weird but when Miss Taylor said you can take your blindfolds off, I looked down at my desk it was a

real life superheros SPCA

This term for inquiry we have be focusing on real life superheroes. My real life superhero was the SPCA. I did the SPCA because the SPCA helps animals and they give them food, water and they try to find homes for the animals that come in to there care. One day I hope I could work at the SPCA when I am older.

metaphor poem

Over the past two weeks Room 7 have been learning how to write effective metaphors. A metaphor is a direct comparison to an object/thing.
The school we sent our metaphors to was Kawerau South School.
We then wrote a metaphor poem about ourselves. We had to describe ourselves as a lolly tree vehicle something in our community, sandwich and some clothing.

The Haunted House - by Madison & Ava

Ava, Madison and Amy are walking down the road to a halloween party but they get lost and Ava says,
“I think we are lost.”
Madison says, “should we go see if anyone is in that house?”
“This is not cool,” Ava and Amy said.
Amy, Madison and Ava walked up the stairs.
Madison said “I think it is haunted”
“Come on let's go in,” said Ava.
“No, I'm going  by myself,” said Amy.
“You can’t go in by yourself, we are coming too,” said Madison. Someone in the house called out,
“Help! Help!” The three girls ran into the house. As soon as they got in they raced up the stairs. The stairs were old and rotten, as Amy stood on one of the panel broke off and she almost fell through.
At the top of the stairs they opened a cupboard door, and to their surprise they found a little boy stuck to a chair. He had duct tape around his feet and his arms.
The girls untied him and carefully pulled off the duct tape. He said, “Thank you for rescuing me.” They all ran downstairs, taking a big leap over the hole. “BOOOOOOOO!! We got ya!!” said Luca. “It was just a prank!!” The friends all partied at the house.
